Trans Am - Problem security light

Hello,

I have a 2001 Trans Am and I have the security light that is on. I have read and done many things but nothing works or I do not do the right thing. I allow myself to make a new post with my data :

1- when I test with an ohmmeter the white wires disconnected that come from the starter I have no value.
2- When I test the other wires disconnected I have a value of 2.9 Ohm
3- If I put the key in the starter nothing happens, my Ohmetre values do not change.
4- With this light on, my car works very well but to the technical control they will tell me that there is a problem.

I'm Swiss French and my english is not very well and read all the posts is very difficult to détermine if the post is my solution.

Everybody has an solution or way to resolve my problem ?

Tks very mush

Regards

JN

Your able to be starting the engine and it's running fine with the security light on ?

If this is the case , and the "technical control" is your Swiss version of a once yearly vehicle safety/emissions inspection like we have here in the U.S. , and your worried about them giving you a hard time about the light , could you take out the bulb so they won't see that it's on ?

This may work if the only data they look at with the OBD2 is the PCM codes that would/could trigger a "check engine" light (emissions control related stuff in other words) .
