headlight motor problems

2002 trans am one headlight comes up and sometimes the other one works when turned off both motors make a loud sound also they want to come up when i turn on the switch half way to the marker lights which when working properly the headlights should only come up when the switch is turned to headlights.. is this a modular problem or headlight motors or both? THANKS, Mike

Re: headlight motor problems

Being 4th gen, and well beyond my element, I'd recommend asking on a 93-02 Firebird forum. That said, I would expect that if the headlights react to switching the parking lights, the switch might be a good place to start troubleshooting. But from looking at the wiring diagrams, the headlight door module is wired to the parking light portion of the headlight switch for whatever reason...
