whats the best way to troubleshoot a short in the parking lights?
every time i turn on the parking lights i pop a 20 amp fuse. there is a short some where. how would you go about finding it. remove all the bulbs and insert them one at a time until the fuse blows.
also how do you remove the light switch as it may be shorted.

The short in my headlight circuit was in the aftermarket radio the guy before me installed with electrical tape for connections. Electrical tape on the hot wire came off, grounded to the dash and POP....I removed, installed properly and fixed the problem. Good Luck!!
This could be real tricky depending on how the circuit is set up. All of the lights are run in parallel, so just plugging in bulbs won't work. If you have no bulbs in and turn it on it will blow the fuse. I'd recomend starting at each light and working back. If that doesn't work I'd start at the switch and work back. The wire for the front light enters on the drivers side and the wire for the back runs along the sill on the drivers side. The main hot wire will come off of the fuse block to the switch and then probably(not entirely sure) one wire runs to the front and one runs to the back. If that is the case and you have an ohm meter then you can determine if it is front or back. If only one wire comes off of the switch then it has to split somewhere and you can check it at that split to determine front or back. Always check with the switch off and no bulbs in the sockets. Good luck.
