wiring problem HELP

in a month i will start to daily my 90 rs 305 tbi. i am going over it threw the winter and a major problem is my battery draining. i ran a test and found my tail lights are getting power when parked. my cars a coupe and the brake light on the hatch wouldn't light. upon inspection ive found the wires to the electrical pressure plate were cut and the interior light didn't have a bulb. yellow and black to the pressure plate. theirs a red and white striped wire that is putting out power. i figured its for the interior light. its putting out power because theirs no ground or shut of switch? what do i need to fix it? please help. thanks

Re: wiring problem HELP

I can give you two good pieces of advice here ;

#1 , Search out the site "Austin Third Gen" , they have all of the wiring diagrams (schematics) for our cars available for free in their tech section .

#2 , Use those diagrams to put all cut wires back to their factory locations (connections) and then start trying to troubleshoot why things don't work , if they still don't work after putting all the wiring back right .

Once someones been at it with the wirecutters , no meaningful troubleshooting can begin till items #1 and #2 are satisfied
