Anyone know where to buy a new AC/Heater switch?
Mine started shorting out in the off position, causing white smoke to roll out of the dash. I may be able to modify it to limit the throw to keep it from shorting things out, but I would really rather get a new one if they are available. It looks like this:
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Anyone know where to buy a new AC/Heater switch?
I have never found a new one for sale. I bought a switch from Autozone that was supposed to be for my car and the switch is wrong. Then I bought a genuine switch from Chevy dealer and it was wrong too, just paid more.
I ended up disassembling my stock switch and cleaning it up. Still working today. It's harmless to try to fix something that is already broken. I have salvaged several electrical pieces on my car doing that.

I’m certainly not afraid to do so. I already tried to clean mine up inside. It isn’t too bad but still shorted when I reinstalled it. It just moves too far to the left and shorts pins 3 and 4. I ordered one from top down and will keep mine as a backup.
i also have a 3d printer and am pretty good at designing models. I’m going to be working on inlaying metal to see if I can print parts like these. I’m going to start with the poorly designed air bag horn buttons for 90-92s. I also have a plan to make a relocation kit for our ignition modules.
