Hello all,

Haven't seen a post yet for this so here we go. I have a 1990 firebird 305 v8 formula. As soon as I disengage the ebrake with the car already running my headlights come on and the dash lights are on with the driving lights button in the off position. Turning the switch on and off does nothing and the lights will only come down once I shut the car off. I'm new to firebirds so I'm not 100% sure if this is a day time running lights fuction? But I feel like the dash lights that light up the gauges and such shoudn't be on until I have the driving lights button on like a normal vehicle has. Please help.

 

Kind of sounds like the export DRL but that system is so uncommon in the US, I couldn't tell you how it's supposed to work without digging into the manual and reading.
