Sleepy Eyed Firebird
Hello everyone, I'm a new member to the forum and have an '89 Firebird Formula with a 305.
I really like the look of sleepy eyed pop-up headlights, on Ford Probes, Nissan 240's, etc., and wanted to replicate this look on my 'Bird. I was thinking of using the manual adjusters on the headlights to do so. That said, I was wondering if this will cause any damage to the mechanism? If I turn the headlights on after I adjust them to how I like, will it cause any damage, and similarly, will closing the headlights do anything?
Long story short, will messing with the manual adjustment cause any harm if the headlights work? I know it is temporary, since once I turn my headlights on, my work will be ruined, lol. Thank you. Attached is an image of what I'm looking for.
Also, side note, does anyone know how to get the profile picture to show? I added one...

Re: Sleepy Eyed Firebird
Shouldn't hurt anything, It will just reposition itself next time you turn them on. Just don't try to force them past the stops. Ive also thought about this but never looked into it.
