I just bought my first 1984 trans am. I'm replacing the whole distributor unit .my question is does it matter about the ignition module, the guy at the parts store said it was showing a 4 prong and a 7 prong option for that car. My car has the 7 prong so do I need to find a distributor kit that is set up for a 7 prong or can use the 4 if the kit is wired to plug up a 4 prong? .. this is my first car so sorry if this is a dumb question I couldn't find an answer anywhere thanks!
