Missing Green Wire For Temperature gauge sensor

So my Temperature gauge sensor randomly stopped reading. The needle would move during ignition but then quickly drop and stay put. The needle wasn't stuck and the other gauges work fine. I checked the under the hood and the green wire is missing in between the #1 and #3 spark plug. The sensor is there but the back of it looks burnt. Where does the wire run too and if possible can I have pictures of it? My car is a 1986 Camaro IROC Z with TPI 305.
