Wire Harness - Need Help...
Hey guys, as some of you know from other posts I've made, I've recently installed a new engine in my '83 after years of sitting with an empty engine compartment. Because it's been years since I pulled the old engine out, I have no recollection of how the engine wire harness is supposed to be routed (I've ditched the computer, so don't have to deal with the ECM harness). While I'm confident that I can figure most of it out on my own, my biggest concern are the wires that go to the starter. How are they routed and secured? Obviously, they need to be kept from touching the exhaust manifold and engine block, but how? Pics would be a huge help if anyone has any. Diagrams as well, if available. Also need to know how it is mounted to the firewall, or cowel as the case may be...

Hit up your local library and see if they have any of the 82-92 Camaro or Firebird service manuals. Any of them will have a section with diagrams showing how most of that stuff is routed, but generally the exact year/model or latest years are the best to look at for the best they came up with.
This is from the 87 Camaro Electrical Supplement, but any thirdgen manual should have roughly the same diagrams.
