Connector I.D please.

Could someone please tell me what this connector is called, so I may narrow down my search on the forum. Trying to get more specific info on it so I can clean it up a bit and or remove it...
it's on the drivers side firewall. Most of my searches bring up the passenger side bulkhead.
thanks.

Re: Connector I.D please.

It is for the main engine and lights wire harness, so removing it wouldn't bee very smart...

ya only to clean it up. Trying to paint the firewall. 33 years of gunk in this connector don't think it has ever been touched.

Re: Connector I.D please.

Most people would wrap the wire in aluminum foil, tape off the plug, and get to it. The 'gunk' is from the factory, intended to keep water out of the terminals. You can remove it, but you'll just have to slather it all in dielectric grease anyway. FWIW.
