HELP! Burnt connector- what is it?
Hey guys,
I have a burnt wire/connector in my wiring harness. The car is an '88 TBI. It doesn't seem to affect anything unless it grounds out. If/when it does, the engine sputters.
As for location, it branches off the main harness briefly, into that connector, back out and and I'm fairly certain it leads into a smaller loom (pictured). I don't know what that loom does either. The connector itself is on the pass. side, just behind the transmission fluid dip stick.
Pictures commence!

Connector

Connector again

The loom that the wire runs into and comes out at. The loom goes up and around the HVAC into the branches you see here.

Another angle of the connector.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks! I was able to confirm that today. I'll be removing the connector and splicing the wires together soon.

Re: HELP! Burnt connector- what is it?
That's exactly what I did with mine. It was meant as a temporary fix until I replace the connector, it's still just spliced together after about 2 years
