A New Problem: Code 32 and 33

Hello everybody,

So after my wonderful day, where my car decided to co operate and run smoothly for me after replacing the O2 sensor... After being code free and feeling good...

The next morning the CEL is on... Codes 32 and 33.

These definitely weren't here when I had tested last... In fact, when I had torn the top of my engine apart to replace the gaskets, I believe I replaced the EGR sensor...

So lord help me if that's the problem again...

What are the best methods of trouble shooting these codes?

What kind of affect does this have on engine performance?

Thanks in advance everybody. You guys here have been insurmountable to my return and restore!

IIRC, 33 is the MAF code. Is your car still running and driving as it should?

Ah I didn't notice that it was for TBI. I would imagine they're going to state essentially the same thing, and you'll just follow what's applicable to your car. Mind you, that's 100% a guess haha

It looks like it makes sense... I do have MAF vs MAP though.

Do you know why this would be triggered after replacing the O2? Apparently 33 is a code that says too much air detected for MAF?

I gotta get me a vacuum gauge before I can properly trouble shoot that aspect.

FYI: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead...c/TPIcodes.pdf is the page for TPI. Just tried changing the letter for fun, it worked.

Thanks for this!
