MAF Burn Off Relay and Power Relay (Intermittent Code 33)
A few hundred dollars later, I am at my last leg here.
I had a super cracked air-box and a hole in my snorkel, after replacing these with tight parts, the car seemed to run fine, until it didn't.
Next up I replaced the air filters, as I couldn't see light through them... Cold start at night, the car started fine, until I parked it for about 2 hours and went to drive home. Code 33.
After driving for about 5 minutes, I shut the car off for about 30 seconds, started her back up, ran great.
I seem to be having problems with cold starts, and hot days... Seems to trigger the code immediately.
Now, this is the closest I have been to having her run properly. In fact, it's the first time in years I have felt it run as well as it does, WHEN it does.
The last thing I am going to do is replace the relays...
However I am confused as to which ones I need to replace. I have two grey, new looking relays in place where I am assuming the Power and Burnoff relays are. However, they have both been replaced with the same relay.
My question is which one is which? I have seen at least 2 different locations and I would like to know for sure where I am looking.
I have an 88 Iroc 305, 5 speed.
The orders I have seen are as follows, from the engine to the fender:
MAF Burn Off ---> Fuel Pump ---> MAF Power
Or
Fuel Pump --> MAF Power --> MAF Burnoff
The two on the right, the middle and the one near the fender are the current ones that are replaced, and they are ovals.
Furthermore, the only relay that ORileys has is the MAF power relay, supposedly.
Where could I get the Burnoff relay? Does anyone have one for sale? I heard the fan relay is the same as the burnoff? Also perhaps the fuel pump relay?
Any help would be fantastic.... I just really wanna drive my car hassle free...
Thanks...

Re: MAF Burn Off Relay and Power Relay (Intermittent Code 33)
Sorry about all the posting, I finally got rid of the code.
I replaced the air intake box, the snorkel, both relays, and finally installed a Delphi MAF sensor. The code has not reappeared since.
Just wanted to put this out there.

The Delphi MAF is probably what fixed things for you. I tried a few Duralast and BWD MAFs that were temperamental at best. I finally bought an AC Delco unit and no more codes. I'm glad you fixed the issue.
