Wire Routing Question...
Years ago, I installed a power hatch release (my car never had one). I have the factory button and relay, but never hooked it up.
My question is; how did the factory rout the wire coming from the hatch release itself? You guys who've had your interiors out probably know this...

Re: Wire Routing Question...
It went through the bundle in the dash, down the kick area, down along the rocker, up and over the wheel well, then across the tail panel inside to the hatch latch

Re: Wire Routing Question...
Is that where the wires from the switch & relay go?
I just want to do it the way the factory did...

Re: Wire Routing Question...
You didn't ask about the switch wiring, lol. I think the switch just has a ground wire that goes to the NSS or the parking brake lever switch

Re: Wire Routing Question...
As already stated:
-The release switch and safety circuit, start under the center console
(Parking-Brake switch for 5-Speed cars, and PNP switch on the gear-selector for Automatic cars).
-From there, the wiring goes under the radio/ HVAC control unit... and then under the dash-board.
-The wiring turns left and goes under the instrument panel cluster.
-Then the wiring goes down towards the floor, behind the kick-panel on the driver's side.
-Then continues on the floor rearwards... parallel to the driver's door sill-plate.
-Then stays on the floor, still going rearward to go over the rear wheel tub.
-This continues back into the storage compartment/ T-Top compartment.
-Turns to go behind the rear cover/ trim panel of the storage compartment... to the Hatch motor/ latch mechanisms.
