I'm installing a digital dash from Intellitronix, and I got all the wiring figured out with only the speedometer remaining. I know that the old gauge has a physical speedometer cable attached (I spent an unholy amount of time trying to get that loose).
But I also see that there's a line of three wires attached to the old gauge, and that on the wiring diagram one of them (following the connectors it looks like the red one, but that seems fishy I'll have to test it later) is for the vehicle speed sensor.
I guess I might have already figured out the answer, but I don't really want to mess it up so I'm asking just to make sure. Is the wire a working speed sender I can connect the instrument panel to, or is the current gauge run of the physical cable and I'll have to go the long (long) route of connecting up Intellitronix's own speed sender to the transmission and run the wires all the way from there to the dash?
Any help is appreciated, and sorry if it seems like a stupid question, very new to these things
As far as I’m aware of you should have a second Vss and install ant the transmission.
there Vss only provides signal to cluster not to ecm. Tpiparts.net has a 2k ppm to hook to ecm for tcc lockup and iac control.
or might ask them if a ago-100 by could be used to get the 2k ppm to ecm. Then calibration could be done for different tire size/ rear end ratio if needed.
