Neither side marker lights work

Guys,
Am getting my 88 IROC back up and running. So, headlights, brake lights, tail lights, blinkers in rear, blinkers in front ALL work, but neither side marker light works? I replaced the bulb on one side and it didn't come on, however the connector did have some corrosion on it. It's so darn small of a connector not sure how i will try and clean the corrosion off it.
Anything i am missing here? Seems odd all the other lights work except for both the side marker lights.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks
ARA

Mine did the same at 2 yrs old.
Parts stores have some battery terminal corrosion cleaning spray.
Can also get in there with brass bottle brushes to clean the terminals.
Once clean and dry, use dielectric grease or protectant in socket.

Thanks guys. Cleaned the connections on PS and it worked. DS was more corroded, bought a replacement socket, wired, and worked. Thanks so much for the help. ARA
