3 amp crank fuse
Is the 3 amp fuse labeled " crank " in the fuse block for the VATS system? I have a 1983 Camaro and this spot is without a fuse holder.

No... IIRC 1983 Camaros should not have the VAT-System.

But that position in the fuse box would have been for the VATS?

Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: 3 amp crank fuse
No. VATS wasn't introduced until about 88 or so. The 83 wasn't equipped with "features from the future".
That fuse is involved with the TBI systems only. If your car is a carbed one, no fuse goes there.
