New to the forum - Battery question

Hey guys this might be considered a silly question but what group size top post battery has anyone used to replace the side post battery? That is that would sit in the stock battery tray and without modification?

Thanks

Re: New to the forum - Battery question

There are a few different ones that fit, and lots of different options for CCA's, etc.
Easiest thing to do is to pop your old battery out and carry in to the store to compare.

Thanks RedLeader.....I guess I should have mentioned that I picked this one up with no battery in it. The terminals had already been changed over to top post and being this beast is not stock there are several items that connect to the terminals, MSD, etc. I have a laundry list of items that need attention being this one sat unused for 5/6 years. Just looking for the best fit without having to modify anything for now. Wasn't sure if there was a crowd favorite among the group here.

Re: New to the forum - Battery question

Ah, that makes sense, sorry. I have a Duracell Ultra model# SLI35M in my car, top post, fits great. 775 cranking amps and 625 cold cranking amps. Didn't see a group# on it but you can google that model # and get measurements that should help.

You can get them at Batteries Plus with a nice warranty.

Original battery is a group 75. Ask the counter monkey for a top post that will fit the same hole. Thing is, if they have car batteries they'll have a group 75 on the shelf you can use for size reference.
