Would injectors fire if the ECM is not getting a reference from the distributor?
Would injectors fire if the ECM is not getting a reference from the distributor?
I was wondering this... If my noid light is showing pulses when cranking the engine, does that mean the ECM is getting it's reference from the distributor while cranking?
This has to do with another thread I started about a crank / no start issue.

Depends on where you have the noid light connected.
If it's across an injector, then yes, the ECM is getting pulses, and is attempting to command the injectors to deliver fuel.
