Instrument cluster

I have a 1986 V6 camaro with the idiot light, they suck. I was wondering if I were to put an other cluster in with ACTUAL gauges, what all would I have to do?

The temperature switch controlling the overtemp light would need to be changed to a sending unit appropriate for the temp gauge, and the low oil pressure light switch would need to be changed to a sending unit as well. As long as the pinouts are the same for gauges VS idiot lights (I believe they are but do your due diligence by obtaining the pinout diagrams for the gauges and idiot light clusters, and compare them to insure they are the same) that should be all it takes....
