Adding power door locks

Do we know if the 85 IROC'S are pre-wired for power door locks and I just need the switches and actuators?

Thank you

Not the original owner I'm assuming? With it being an IROC I would of guessed that it would have the power door locks, could be a special order thing back in 84-85 original owner didn't want/need power door locks. As for the wiring some of it could possible be there but chances are there is none at all, GM could of used some wire harnesses that were made with all the available options because in the grade scheme of production it could be cheaper than workers having to spend time during the assembly process figuring out what the car needs as it's going through the assembly line. Your going to need to do some investgating as there's a chance you may need it all, lock switches, lock actuators and their linkages and small brackets to the door locks, relay and wiring. Start looking online for people parting out similar year cars to pull some of these parts from. There are some online sources that sell used parts for these car as well.

EDIT: These are the actuators, switches and key less entry that I just recently put in my 91 Firebird, so far these have very few operations but so far so good. FYI there is a left and right door switch

Re: Adding power door locks

You're correct, I'm the 3rd owner, looking at the RPO list, this car is a customer order not a dealer order. Thank you for the links. I'll do some snooping inside the door and go from there.
