So on my 89 Camaro convertible it seems like someone had Jerry rigged every bit of wiring. When I was replacing my latch pull down motor I found some wires twisted together with plugs on the end, the blue and white wires, it definitely doesn't look factory. I thought maybe it has something to do with the tonneau cover release since it doesn't work. The pull down latch works great now but I was wondering if anyone had a wiring schematic for the pull down latch for the convertible or any knowledge on what those wires are, thanks!

 

Not exactly the trunk schematic, but mostly correct. That small plug goes to the trunk light on the plastic panel. I think the blue wires go to a relay. Lon at TDS can clarify this better than me or wait for someone to chime in.
