Hey guys,
I am fixing a wiring mess a meth head made. It's crazy. 92 RS that I am putting a 355 in, carbed. The red wire with gray connector is in the engine bay, right next to my distributor. The purple is under dash behind the fuse box.
The under the dash PPL/White wire could be the coming from the CRK fuse or for the Dianostic energy reserve module or the DERM aka airbag module, The DERM is General Motor’s fancy term for an airbag module. Check for continuity between that plug and the C2 termination on the ECM. Wayback Machine (archive.org)

The Modern name that GM uses is not any better...
It's called the SDM (Sensing and Diagnostics Module) and it shares a dedicated high speed connection with the VCIM (Vehicle Communication Interface Module) which is essentially a "Black Box Recorder" for your Vehicle (it also handles OnStar).
