Question

Terminal?

Could anyone tell me what this went to. Brown lead wire. When i touch with a grounded test light i can hear a clicking sound under the dash

Yup.

The red wire went to the output post, where the wire to the batt also went.

Thought alternator plug had a resister on the wire to the plug in?

a/c compressor has a diode maybe that’s what you where thinking about.

So I would use the alternator wire and connect to the plug on the LS swap alternator plug?

Depends on what alternator you use.

That connector is for the old 10SI model. Newer alternators use different plugs. Some "LS" alternators are controlled by the ECM. Some are not, but rather have internal voltage regulators like the 10SI did, but need different connections.
