Loose cable near spark plugs

Hi everyone,

i was changing a temp sensor, when i found this cable.

all sparkplugs hade cables, what is this used for

engine 350 tpi 5.7

Looks like a spark plug wire.

Somebody probably didn't bother to take the old one out whenever they last put in another one.

Well, the extra weight could be increasing your fuel consumption...

If it was me I'd get rid of it, but mostly because it's just clutter and useless garbage.

thanks for the quick response, and hahha might decrese the fuel consumption…

however, im sorry i ask these really stupid question, i legit have no idea what im doing.

Follow it to the other end and see if it's connected to anything.

As above, it looks like the last time the plug wires were replaced, that one didn't get removed.

......or else you have an extremely rare V9 engine currently running with a dead hole.
