Yeah, I do. I sent you an email in word format, and I'm still working on an HTML version.

Keep in mind though, two of us have done this swap and the oil pressure gauge doesn't work for EITHER of us. It pins past maximum, which is indicative of an open circuit. I believe there is an error in the Helms manual wiring diagram and I will be attempting to trace it down soon. All of the other gauges seem to work fine.

Here's a picture with the ignition on, engine off (the fasten seatbelts light does work, but I was never able to get the picture with it on). I used the INFL REST light for the choke.

As far as the speedometer, I used the dakota digital box (I'm swapping in a T56) and the other individual gutted the speedometer and converted it to mechanical (said it was a real pain too). I would anticipate that hooking up the VSS would be as simple as using a transmission-mounted VSS for a TBI firebird (86?-89) and splicing it into the harness, but I can't guarantee it. The tables DO show which pins were for the VSS and which ones go to the electric speedometer. Keep in mind the ECM provides a constant voltage on the VSS line and the VSS itself opens and closes to ground... that may help you figure out how to wire it up.

where did u get the dakota digital box and how much was it? and did u still wire up the ecm? i was going to get a vss and attempt to follow the tech article for firebirds (mech to electric speedo). but if its easier that way, then ill defiently do it that way.

i have a chiltons manual and i can look up the wiring in it and scan it and send it to u if it would help in fixing the oil pressure gauge. when it comes to electrical i dont know much, but if i have a wiring diagram in front of me, i can figure it out.

do u have cruise control?? im assuming that i would have to get a vss and vss buffer and wire it up as the 90-92? the cc in my car rite now is aftermarket and i have no idea how it is setup. im thinking of just taking it out completly. would that be my best bet with that?

I do have cruise control. I haven't had the car off the jackstands so I can't verify that the speedometer or cruise works properly yet.

The Dakota Digital box (model SGI-5 I believe) came from www.dakotadigital.com but you REALLY shouldn't need it unless you're using the OEM 4th-gen T56. It has a completely different signal frequency and the box is needed to convert it.

As far as the VSS, try following the tech article for firebirds. That should get you started.
