Interchange info,Will this alternator work on my Iroc?
I have an 89' Iroc,with the 305 TPI and AC and standard serpantine setup. The alternator just died from my stupidity of shorting it,and is the OEM style internal regulator 105amp alternator. I have access to a number of alternators from Gm cars including Grand Prix's,Lumina's,and various other cars and trucks. My question is are the regulators the same,I already know the amp rating is 100 not 105 but I don't have any aftermarket stereo or anything else that will draw excess power. Any info would be greatly appreciated before I go blow another $100 on this car!

The advice I was given is to buy AC DELCO Alternator specifically for that car otehr wise you will be left with a dead alternator within a couple of months. Cost a bit more but you get piece of mind. Sorry Do't know about the AMP ratings.
