Full Wiring Harness for 1982 Z28???
My issue, the car had some rodent issues when in storage so I think it is a good idea to do a full rewire (car is basic carbed, no AC, power windows and while not stock it is stock enough wiring wise). I have searched our site and I do not see anything recent and google is coming up zero for me.
I see reproduction harnesses available for first and second gen Camaros from decent vendors but not for third gen, and specifically 1982 for what that is worth. There are some shifty looking eBay options BUT I can tell right off they are not correct as many items, connectors, blocks, etc. are different or missing.
So what are my options?
Does anyone know where one can get a proper new full third gen harness? (ideally one someone here has experience with)
Buy a new complete harness for a 1981 (second gen) and make it work?
Buy a generic GM one from a decent respected vendor and try to make it work?
Buy used, I would rather not have to figure out what goes where without the wires labelled like a new kit and/or dealing with previous modifications.
On the 1981 harness (or generic GM), while there are changes second to third gen and car to car I am guessing GM did not do a complete reset as that is not their style (cut and paste engineering). While not plug and play I don't mind making something work (changing connectors, wire lengths) as long as it is say 90% correct.
