89 2.8L what is this connector?
This is the ring connector wire described. I have also lost power to my ECM, at least I think so because the security light used to come on and go off when trying to crank the car and now it doesn’t show it’s yellow face anymore. it cranked yesterday, now it doesn’t. This car is a wiring disaster either way but does anyone know where this goes. I have a Haynes book for the car and GM electrical schematics printed out but I just can’t trace it back.
Below the relay there is some sort of connector, one of the black wires goes directly to the battery, an aftermarket wire goes from the connector to the relays on the firewall, (which is not connected to anything) and a second black wire (shown in the second picture) goes about a foot and half and ends with a ring connector.

Please ignore my incompetence, i found it, it goes onto the back of the alternator, the ECM problems were unrelated, ground on the right head was completely off.
