Car: 86 Z28 Camaro

Engine: 383

Transmission: 700r4

New starter

So the starter went out put a new one in hooked it up the same it won't start with the ignition but if I jump the starter like from the main power wire to the little stud it starts

Are you getting +12v on PPL with the key in Crank?
