Could the sending unit be bad if my Oil pressure gauge is stuck on max? Doesn't move at all on start Rev anything. On start up all gauages move. Temp gauge bounces to 220 then going back down at start but Oil doesn't move

Start with replacing the sender

Does it move with the key Off? Anywhere, at all?

If so, start even more basic.

Plug the wire back into the sending unit. Then go from there.

Replacing your carpet is what did it. I just replaced my intake manifold and now my tachometer doesn't work...

I was pegged all the way high. I replaced the sending unit still nothing. So I took off the gauage cover and adjusted the indicator down. It is working now but the reading is off how to I reset the gauage ?

Did you take the needle off and rotate it toward 0 psi and push it back on shaft or did you just manhandle the needle twisting it back toward 0 psi?

Re: Oil pressure gauge stuck on max?
With no resistance (such as disconnected), the gauge should read past 60. If the sending unit is good and connected, the gauge needle should go to zero when the key is turned to the On (or "Run") position. If this does not happen, the gauge is bad...
