Good morning,
I have a Camaro 1986 with crate 350. The positive battery cable is toasted in b/w the heathers, so I would like to replace. It is a VIN H model but it does not match what the picture says (diagram in the lower portion). It actually match VIN code 2 (diagram in the upper portion).
My question is cable #16 (label "Positive Cable ASM.") in the upper diagram, where does this cable actually go to? The manual does not say, and my car has to wires (for #16), one to the starter but I can't tell where the other one goes to.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

 

#16 goes to the starter. #15 goes to alternator output...
