Tachometer repair

Hey y'all, so the tachometer on my car has never worked while I've owned it, recently I had taken out the gauge cluster to try and repair it and noticed the little film connect was bent backwards, I pulled it straight and reinstalled the cluster and it came out but extremely inaccurate, so I pulled the cluster again and tried getting it more straight and cleaned it, and the tachometer is once again fully dead, would anyone know how to repair this? Other then this issue and my odometer being stuck, this cluster is in pristine shape so I don't really want to fully replace it
