What exactly do the Aftermarket ignition modues do? I'm thinking of the holley Anihilator, Accel, and MSD.

My suggestion is stay away from the aftermarket for modules. Get AC Delco, they are the most durable. Even if the aftermarket are a little better they do not last nearly as long as orginal.
I have the Jacobs UYltra Team ignition system and the instructions say use ONLY AC Delco modules, Jacobs is not compatable with any other. I tried a Wells from DAP and they were right, it did not start till I put an AC Delco in. Go figure.
