i have two questions
1.... there was a wiring diagram for electric fans going around i bought a painless wiring kit for my fan but i want to wire in a manual switch, how do i do it??
2....the Painless kit comes with a temp sensor....but i was wondering if i can wire it in with the one i already have on my water neck. how do i do this????

Just splice a toggle switch inline on either the power wire or ground to the relay to manually control it.
The temp sensor in your thermo. housing (LG4) is for the ECM

Yea, make some sort of circuit that switches a relay based on resistance.
Jet has made a fan switch that is a much simpler solution that worrying about using the ECM sensor.

I realize what you're saying. I've got an LG4 engine too in my camaro. JET (Summit p/n JET-60600) makes a switch that screws into the passenger side head between the 5/7 exhaust ports(which I don't think has squat in it on an LG4.. never looked at mine).
At a predetermined temp (200°) the switch will ground to the block. If this is connected to a fan relay, it will cause the relay to switch on (given it has +12v on it) making your fan come on. At a 2nd temp (185°) the switch will unground kicking your fan off.
It's about the simplest way to easily add a temp controlled fan to a vehicle that never had an elec fan
In the diagram(wires are OEM color), the ECM controlled gnd would be replaced by the JET fan switch.
If you're not tapping main power from the fusable link off the battery, you'll want to add an inline 20a fuse.
You're better off forgetting about the ECM sensor as tempting as it seems
From what I see (actually seeing it now), the painless kit seems to be exactly as I just described. Other than that, I don't what else to tell you.
