Electrical speedometer problem
Sorry, this is not third gen but I think I can only get good info from this board. '94 Sonoma
I recently took the instument panel out and was monkeying with stuff in the dash. I then reinstalled the instruments and the speedometer is motionless as is the odometer. I checked to make sure it was making contact and I believe it has to be. I have wiggled it around plenty while driving it. Everything in the plug area is straight and all the other gauges work.
Could I have fried something by making contact with speedometer plug end? I had the vehicle running when I was working around in there. Not smart. Is there something that will go out if it shorted? Any ideas? Need to know more, please ask.
