Sounds like the fan motor may be at fault. Check the voltage at the motor when the motor is exhibiting the problem with the fan on high & the engine running. If the voltage is near 13 volts, replace the motor. If the voltage is less than 12 volts, it may be the blower high speed relay, or the fusible link power feed from the large lug on the starter to the relay.

would that feed wire from the starter happen to be the purple wires at the relay plug ? why are there two ? howcome mine are both dead and only ther red and orange are hot ? and the black and tan that tie together there are dead and not grounded ?

The purlple wire @ the starter is from the ign stitch & is hot only when in the start position. One of the red wires from the large lug on the starter feeds the blower high speed relay. Check out the schematics at http://www.geocities.com/vtcamaro/Wire-Diagrams.html
