wiring a manual switch to my fan....tengo una pregunta!
ok this is what this guy e-mailed me about on how to do it
ok my question is......where is the fan relay located?
Locate the existing fan relay. It has the following wires: Orange, black/red, tan/white and green/white. Splice (do not cut) into the green/white wire with a new section of 18-gauge wire. In other words, "tee" into the existing green/white wire. Connect the new wire to a toggle switch. Ground the other switch connector. The fan will now turn on with the switch as long as the ignition switch is on. A lighted switch can be used, but it complicates the wiring slightly.

You dont have to find the fan relay. Get under the front of your car and find the hot wire that runs to the fan, theres 2 wires, just use a tester while the fan is running. Then splice a wire into that and run that up to a place where you can reach it. Then go to a parts store such as Autozone and buy a 12v Relay. Wire that to a hot power wire, a ground, the wire from the fan and then run a thin wire into the cabin through the firewall opening above the brake and gas pedal. Hook this up to a switch and theyre you go. That is the safest and easiest way, or get a 12v 50amp or so rated switch and skip the relay all together and wire it direct, but always use a fuse just incase something goes wrong.

I did the same with my rad fan... couldnt figure out why it wasnt working (tried new relay and new fan) eventually i said screw it, and wired a switch right up into console, so when she starts getting above normal temperature, i just switch it on
one way i did it is to connect my fan to the fuse that controlls my dash lights and whenever I cut my dash lights(marker lights) my fan comes on. alota camaros look good with there marker lights on so thats just how I wired mine up. just to give ya an idea.

This is a (general wire colors for all) fan relay setup. The relay can usually be found on the passenger side radiator support. Keep in mind an LG4 fan will probably not be controlled by the ECM but, instead by the fan switch in the pass. side head.
