temp gauge pegged to right side

ok besides the dk green wire being grounded out somewhere, what else would cause temp gauge needle to be pegged past the right side of gauge ?
all other gauges work fine cept the tach sometimes getting stuck at about 2k when first fired up for a few minutes, especially when is first fire up for the day

thanks guys!

If the gauge is staying pegged regardless of the car off or on, the needle is probably just stuck.
