VATS bypass

I am currently putting TPI on my car and am stuck once more. I had the original key from the car i took the computer out of and i have a vats interrogator. The interrogator read that it was a #11 resister pellet. So i bought one and cut it. But when i go to try to power up the car, i get nothing. My buddy has a diagnostic scanner and it keeps on coming up vats problem. I tried every value on my interrogator to power up the car but all 15 values failed. I have no idea what it could be now. So i was thinking about bypassing the vats system. My question the tech artical says about sodering the value of the chip to the wire. Is this the only way ????

I had a similiar problem on my engine swap. For $150 I got a new chip from Ed Wright that bypasses VATS and also gives some minor performance improvement. This eliminated the problem.

Hey man,
Was it you that emailed me about the bypass?
I lost the email due to hotmail and its account size policy...
The bypass costs less that 5 bucks, and works quite nicely... I'll get you the wire colors pretty quick...

Need anything else?
