Rolling up power windows with no engine

A little more than a week ago, my dad and I pulled the engine on my '89 IROC-Z to get it rebuilt. Once we finished up and everything, we noticed that we had goofed and forgotten to roll the driver's side window up before we removed everything. Now, of course battery is disconnected, and the terminals aren't even still attached. With the weather the way that it's been, I don't know how much longer the tarp we put over it will last.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to get power to the windows (without pulling anything out of the door) with the engine out? We've still got the battery and some alligator clips; I'm sure that we could just hook up the negative terminal to the frame, but I'm not so sure to do with the positive end. I can remember that there were some red wires that went to/came from the starter and went off somewhere (I can't remember off hand where, but in the vicinity of the starter). Whole wiring harness is still in the car, if that helps. I'd just go and start testing different leads, but I'm really worried that I might fry the ECM or something.

Thanks for any advice!

Here's a pic from an 86 diagram. I think they're all the same.

All you need to do is, put a ground on pin B and put a 12 volt 30 amp power source on pin C. Be careful though.

you should be able to connect one of those red wires that were ocnencted ot the starter solenoid on the same post as the batteryc able was and then clamp other side of a battery to the metal of the car, IE frame or firewall somewhere and that should feed the car to do the windows and whatever else, OR if you see a junction block post somewhere in the engine compartment with red wires the connect to one of them with batt post

Maybe this?

Try taking jumper cables from another cars battery to the starter wires hanging in your engine bay. Hook the positive to the wires that were on the big lug on the starter, and put the ground on the frame. Keep one door open, so you can see when the interior lights come on. Then you will know you have power.

Should work.
