can a relay click when getting power and still be bad?

this is not factory wiring. I have 2 relays one for each fan and they are getting juice but not putting out anything to the fans.

Fans check out ok.

Relays RARELY go bad...but they do.

Tell ya what...why not substitute 2 known good relays in place and see if the fans turn on? Relays are fairly inexpensive.

If purchasing some new relays are out of the question, why not apply power as if you are turning on your fans, and test to see if you have 12V coming out of 87A and/or 87 (depending on whether you are using SPDT or SPST relays). A simple test light will do the trick.

clicking you hear inside the relay case is the coil moving the contacts. the noise does not ensure that the metal parts inside will properly conduct electricity.

well it was not the relays

I don't know actually what happend. But, I ran another wire using new switch from a different source and the manual fan is working again.

Going to try to run the second fan through a temp switch sensor that will automatically start the second fan at 205.
