I had some problems getting the 2 transistor ALDL cable to work. I know a lot of people can't solder, etc, so I was wondering if anybody would be interested in ALDL interface cables built with the superior MAX232 chip? I know mastach.com sells them for $45 (and ships from poland), and moates.net sells a USB one for $50+ship.

Mine would be completely integrated inside of the connector itself (unlike the seperate mastach "box"), and would not require external power. Estimated price would be about $35 shipped. Maybe less if we got together a group buy of 10 or more.

Just curious if there's enough interest to warrant a run of 50 circuit boards, or not.
