What does the proportioning valve do. I am very interested. I think mine is going bad because the front driver break wears out before the front passanger. SO I am interested in what it does. COnsider me first in line.

most guys use the proportioning valve when doing a drum to disc brake swap in the rear

It won't affect bias from left to right, typically these adjustable valves are installed to control the amount of pressure going to the rear brakes. You most likely have other brake issues.

What you are describing is somewhat common as long as the difference isn't drastic. If you are experiencing pulling to the left or right as you brake then I'd suspect air in the brake lines or bad calipers.

91NiteRida', sorry bout that I just wanted to offer my help to Millerboy. This is the adjustable Wilwood unit, correct? If so, I'll take it. Let me know, thanks.

not to hijack the thread but..

replace your flex lines.. they're ~6 to 12 each... 3 lines. one for each front wheel, and one for the rear axle.

take off your brake calipers and clean the slider pins. then re-assemble with lube.

thoes two things will probly fix your problem right there.

back on topic..... i have this same wilwood prop valve... works great. id reccomend it to everyone.

Ok, I won't need it then. I have been thinking it was the valve or the caliper. It pulls to the left and wears out almost twice as fast.

I've posted on here already and e-mailed you. Once you give me the word that it's the adjustable proportioning valve and I know about it you'll have $30 in your paypal. Please let me know if this is the adjustable unit or give me a part number if you have one. Thanks.
