SBC 5.7 block for sale + crank + KB Pistons, CHEAP, southern NH, fresh block!
SBC 5.7 block for sale + crank + KB Pistons, CHEAP, southern NH, fresh block!
I have never gotten to use this block, my plans changed and this stuff has to go
Included for $100
.60 over 350 Block , 2 bolt main , I covered it with transmission fluid to keep rust away and stored it in a heated basement, I can take fresh pictures for you but last I looked it had no surface rust in any of the bores or elsewhere.
crank, cast, looks to be stock GM piece but was previously balanced.
for $150 total
The above + KB .060 Pistons & I think stock Rods
I was told the block was from a very fresh .60 over (5000 mile) disassembled motor, it was diassembled to be parted out and sold as he went to a big block, I have verified bore size with quality digital micrometers and it seems to be true. Crank bearings as well as crank itself had very light scuffing so it would probably have to be polished.
YOU MUST PICK UP IN SOUTHERN NH or pay me to deliver, I would consider delivery in MA/NH/CT (I go to CT every few weeks so that might be an option). Email me and we can discuss...
I have never built an engine so don't take my word for everything but I have represented the block and other parts to the best of my knowledge, you are welcome to inspect it, lets talk and setup a time. I have no reason to distrust the original owner and the block has no visible cracks anywhere etc... all I had to buy were vortec heads as I already had an intake and I'd be all set, but now I need some extra cash for other projects...
it is my opinion as well as opinion of friends that know more about engine buliding that you could have the crank polished (I was quoted $50 by a shop in derry NH), put rings on the pistons and assemble the motor for very little cost (bearings, break in lube etc...) + of course valvetrain components.
If you're interested let me know, I can email you pictures of everything.
