This ad is for a built-up 700-R4 transmission and torque converter from an '86 Trans-Am. The trans & converter have only about 1800 miles on them. I am aksing $1000.

The trans was originally built on 7-9-98, and was built for street / performance by Turbo Terry Transmissions in Chicago. I went with a 10" Art Carr torque convertor (# 16040) that can handle up to 700hp and stalls around 2400 - 3000 rpm. (I do have all the paperwork to confirm this). The trans has a very "firm" shift, that will chirp the tires between gears (as long as you have the horsepower).

This item has been sitting for a few years, so I would highly recommend flushing out the trans fluid from the trans and converter before use.

I am selling the items "as-is" but I will ensure you that they are in great "barely used" condition.
