Another Hypertech fan switch

I have a hypertech 176/166 fan switch with the connector. I have to take a pic of the connector, it's melted in one spot, but it doesn't have more than 2 hours run time. I'm going to buy a 180/170 switch.

Yeah, it doesn't take long at all for them to melt slightly. I ran one for about a week, and it's already a little melted on the tip of the plastic. I've got a practically brand new hypertech #4028 switch if you're interested. It comes on at 200, off at 185. I'll let it go for $25 shipped. Let me know, Pat.

I'll take a pic later today i'm going to sleep. It melted on the header
Make me an offer after you see the pic. I would buy your fan switch but I want a 185/170 and a 170 degree thermostat. I also have a Mr.Gasket 160 degree thermostat I don't have the part number. The owner at my machine shop said they are good thermostats, they look a little different.

No problem. I had another guy send me a PM who wants to buy it. That thermostat is probably one like the old Robertshaw "extra performance" ones. They look more full bodied than the standard thin type. If this is the type he recommended, they're great. I had a standard cheap one stick shut on me years ago and cracked a cylinder head. I've been running the better ones ever since and haven't had a single problem.
