400 bare block, 3:45 posi rear and 700r4

I have a 400 block that is bare with the crank I need to sell, 3.45 posi rear end with disc brakes that needs to go and a 700r4 with b&m shift kit and corvette tq converter.

I need to sell all of this stuff since it has been cluttering up my garage.

I'm in the hampton roads area of Virginia and NENC, aka virginia beach.

the block is virgin only partly pulled apart, needs to be cleaned and machined to your desire. I'd like to get $200 but I will take best offer, I have it listed locally as well.

$200, I believe its a (10.5 in rotor, not sure memory) iron caliper disc rear, low miles, could use a new cover. Oh its a 9 bolt don't think I said that.

Is the block a 2bolt or 4bolt? Casting #? Has it been checked for cracks? Don't need the crank. If I arrange with my freight company to pick it up will you prep it to ship?

Its a 2bolt block, its a 509, I'll double check though. Hasn't been checked, the crank, cam and balancer are all still on it, it hasn't even been fully pulled down. Thats why I said clean, bore and build. I've had it for a minute but its been in the garage the whole time. If you want to freight it I can palletize it and shrink wrap and band it if you want. I'll check locally I had seen where someone had an engine iso if your interested.

Sorry Turtle, I didn't understand the last sentence on you latest post. I'm interested.
The reason I'm asking if the block has been checked is that I've been burned on blocks that we not useable after inspection, pressure testing etc. Is the pan and heads off the block? If so is there any visual signs of damage? Particularly, are there any cracks arond the cylinder bores especially around the steam holes?
I can obtain shipping through my business. So if you can set it on a pallet and have a way to load it on a truck I can have it picked up.

Re: 400 bare block, 3:45 posi rear and 700r4

engine iso= big plastic container that engines come in, has a top and bottom half, gmpp and edelbrock both use very good iso's. Iso-pod is also a reuseable plastic container that the military use's, also called family jewels or diamonds for sensitive parts and equipment. An Iso-pod can cost thousands of dollars depending on what part is supposed to be shipped in it.

Anyway it has not been checked professionally, no visible signs though. Heads and pan are off, I can visually double check anything you like. I have access to a dock, pallets, banding and shrink wrap.

I'll go for the block. Please PM me with an address for payment and for shipping. If you shrink wrap it and strap it to a pallet that should be sufficient.
