92 Corvette Block Almost Complete 4 Sale

I have a 1992 Corvette 350 (2) bolt Main block that pulled from my 87 camaro 3 weeks ago and has been bored out .030 over which makes this a 355 c.i.d. The Engine has a steel crank that was done .010 over. New bearings were installed. The Pistons are 22cc Deep Dish Keith Blacks Part No# KB-118 with new rings, The Rods are forged SIR I Eagle Rods. After this block was rebuilt it was installed in my car and has less than 400 driving miles on it. There are no known major problems with this assembly, I am just going to a larger engine.

here are the compression ratio's expected per head cc

KB118 STD .030 3.480 5.700 **** 58 = 9.2 | 62 = 8.9| 64 = 8.7| 76 = 7.8

This block comes with
1. 94 Vette 58cc factory heads with stainless steel valves, and factory rockers, guide plates.
2. Factory Vette aluminum or aftermarket Steel Valve Covers with Center Bolts.
3. Factory Oil Pan
4. Factory Timing chain Cover
5. Factory Flex Plate
6. Factory Harmonic Balancer
7. Factory Vette Cam and Hydraulic Lifters
8. Factory Timing Gear and Timing Chain.
9. Factory Vette Headers
10. Starter for 3rd gen, (This is not a High Torque Mini Starter)
11. Factory Vette Cam

What is not included,

1. Motor Mounts for 3rd Gen.. I might have Vette Mounts if you need them.
2. Accessories like (Alt, A/C, P/S, Waterpump, Air Pump, idlers, Brackets)
3. Intake assembly, Injectors, Runners.
4. No pushrods available

If you are buying the engine, I will include factory Throttle body with TPIS Air Foil and Intake Plenum and maybe the cam that I used which is a Crower 00482LM blower cam shaft..

This Engine assembly is currently on a engine stand garaged near Brownville, NY which is 1 hr North of Syracuse and 24 miles from the Canadian Border right off Interstate 81 and can be seen at anyones request. This was a good runner and was never boosted over 8psi and has never seen Nitrous. It does need a full gasket kit which can be purchased from any local car store. (autozone, Napa, Standard, etc.. etc..)

Some pictures and be seen of this engine at the website below.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2423655

Asking $800. With everything you are getting it is a great deal.

I ran the engine on DataMaster using a 1227730 ecm and AUJP prom and it didn't have any unusual knock counts. Everything seemed to be pretty solid.

Additional Pictures can be emailed to you at your request in a short period of time. Pictures will follow soon.

Will consider delivering within reasonable distance, shipping would cost a fortune, but if you paid for it, I would consider.

Re: 92 Corvette Block Almost Complete 4 Sale

The Head Castings are 10088113

Corvette Aluminum Design for 350 HO service engine

There are still some parts that are currently on this block which are going to be removed before sale..

1. Motor Mounts.
2. Aluminum Timing Cover
3. Supercharger High Pressure Line
4. Lifter Hold Down Bracket..

One of the Heads is missing (2) 7/16 Rocker ARP studs,, The guide plates are still there.. I found the factory Solid Rockers and Nuts for the heads also.

The Heads were Port Matched For Felpro # 1205 Intake Gaskets.

More Pictures of the Block in next post

Re: 92 Corvette Block Almost Complete 4 Sale

I was told that it is either 8.6:1 or 9:1.. I will have to call the builder tomorrow to find out. Hopefully he can remember all the details. I can tell you the engine was assembled in Glen Park, NY at a High Performance Speed Shop named Torres Automotive. I did talk to Best Machine Shop in Watertown, NY and he did assure me that he didn't use cheap Pistons and Rods. I can try to get in contact them tomorrow for more information. The original Cam is sitting in the crower box that the LM00482 cam arrived in.
